Hi! I'm Dimple :)

Cooking has always been a passion of mine. I was lucky to have a mixed heritage, my mother is Parsi and dad Jain. I learned a lot from both of my grandmothers about cooking. My dad's mother taught me all the basics. By the age of sixteen, I could cook an entire vegetarian meal. I loved the tastes and subtle flavors of the Gujarati cooking. Since we lived in a Hindu vegetarian home, I never got to learn how to make non vegetarian food while growing up. I loved to eat it though!

As luck would have it, I married a Parsi and moved to America! Since my husband loved his Parsi food, I would call my Granu up every morning and chat with her for a couple of hours, taking down recipes and literally cooking them as she guided me over the phone. It was the best thing to happen as that way I got to bond with her and learn how to cook non vegetarian food!

Now, as a mother of three boisterous boys, chasing after them takes up most of my time. So I am constantly looking for ways to simplify cooking without losing out on flavor.

Try out my version of these popular dishes and let me know if you have a version that is different. I would love to try it out! I hope you like my blog!
